Howto start a body paragraph. Often the hardest sentence to write, the first sentence of your body paragraph should act as the topic sentence, introducing the main point of the entire paragraph. Also known as the "paragraph leader," the topic sentence opens the discussion with an underlying claim (or sometimes a question).
1 Read all the text boxes. The first step is to read the text in all the boxes. Doing this will help you understand the main idea of each one and gain an idea of the subject of the original text. Selectall the paragraphs you numbered. If the paragraphs are not contiguous, select the first paragraph and then press the "Ctrl" key when selecting the remaining paragraphs with the mouse.
